Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated Oct 8, 2026

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy
  • Refund Policy
  • Acceptable Use

This policy sets out what you can’t do with WhatPost. It is part of our Terms of Service. The rule behind it is simple: use WhatPost to understand what works, then make your own, original content.

The short version

  • Make your own work. Don’t copy, re-upload or impersonate anyone.
  • Don’t use WhatPost to deceive, harass or harm anyone.
  • Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the service.

What WhatPost does, and doesn’t do

WhatPost is a research and writing tool for creators. It analyses publicly available short-form videos, learns your own brand, and helps you write scripts for your own videos. Everything it makes is text: analyses, Brand files and scripts.

It never:

  • generates images, video, voice or audio;
  • swaps, edits or imitates anyone’s face or voice;
  • downloads anyone’s video for you. It links to the original, and what you can export is text: an analysis, and your own account’s figures;
  • posts, comments, follows or sends messages on Instagram or anywhere else;
  • sells views, followers or engagement.

You need an account to use it, and every plan has monthly limits.

Content you may not create with WhatPost

  • sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content, or any sexual content involving minors;
  • content that promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm, or hatred against people for who they are;
  • harassment, threats or bullying, or content that targets a private individual;
  • scams, fake reviews or testimonials, and false claims that could hurt people, including about health or money;
  • content that promotes illegal goods or activity;
  • content that impersonates a real person or brand.

Other people’s work

  • Analyse public videos to learn from them. Don’t re-upload them, copy their scripts word for word, or pass off anyone’s video, audio, words or likeness as your own.
  • Only upload files and content you have the right to use.
  • Respect other people’s trademarks and brands.

Using the service

  • No bots, scripts or automated access to WhatPost, and no scraping or copying of the service.
  • No attempts to get around plan limits, security or another user’s privacy.
  • No sharing, selling or renting access to your account.
  • No reverse engineering, and no using WhatPost to build a competing product, dataset or AI model.
  • No using what WhatPost shows you to collect personal data about individuals, or for spam, unsolicited outreach or profiling.

Platform rules

When you publish, follow Instagram’s terms and community guidelines. WhatPost helps you plan and write; what you post, and where, is your responsibility.

AI

  • Read what WhatPost’s AI drafts before you publish it. You are responsible for what you post.
  • Don’t try to make the AI produce content this policy rules out, or to get it to reveal other people’s data.

What happens if this policy is broken

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks this policy. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you the chance to put it right. In serious cases, such as illegal content or a threat to someone’s safety, we act straight away, and we report to the authorities where the law requires it.

Report a problem

If you see WhatPost used in a way that breaks this policy, or you’re a creator who wants your public content removed from WhatPost, email support@whatpost.io.
